Bioscience Opportunities (BOPS) Preview Weekend ApplicationThank you for your interest in the UW-Madison Biopreview Opportunities (BOPS) preview weekend.
A complete BOPS application consists of the following items:
- General applicant information
- Program of interest list
- 2 Letters of Recommendation
- Short answer/essay questions
You may complete the tasks in any order but will not be able to submit the application until all tasks are completed. All application materials need to be received and your application needs to be submitted by the application deadline of August 2, 2016 in order to ensure consideration.
Your references will be sent an email with a link to provide their recommendations. Please make sure the email address you enter for them is correct and that they know to be expecting the email with instructions for providing their recommendation. It is your responsibility to follow-up with your reference and remind them about the recommendation to ensure it is turned in by the application deadline so your application will be considered complete.
Electronic transcripts are required of all applicants. If your school does not offer electronic transcripts, please scan a paper copy and save it as a PDF for uploading to this application. You can only upload one file, and a newer file will replace the older one when uploaded. If you have multiple transcripts, please combine them into one file. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for this application.
You will be required to use a valid email address for correspondence. In order to create your account and begin working on your BOPS application, click the “Sign Up” button to the right. Once you sign in this will be your main application hub. You can edit your tasks as often as you like until the deadline by logging in and revisiting the information you have already entered. However, you may only submit one application. From this hub you may also resend recommendation requests and download a copy of your submission.
